With a now hugely expanded performance engine to work with, we are only just starting to scratch the surface of what its really capable of. we have now implemented 2 mpd24's, 2 nano kontrols and a kaoss pad across 2 laptops running ableton live. this gives us a control surface that comprises of 32 pads, 30 faders and 34 knobs. Plus, with the kaoss pad's own control surface, this gives us a huge amount of flexibility when it comes to effects combination options. At this stage it feels like learning an instrument, and i really have no idea of what it will be capable of once we have mastered it.

Costumes are in the final stage of production now, i went for the final fitting yesterday, and its coming along nicely. the photo shoot is schedules for tomorrow evening, so expect to see the first press shots in the next few days of myself and dr. funkinchunkin.

I'll be spilling the beans little by little during the run up to Soundwave, some of you will be familiar with this festival, if not, you should visit; http://soundwavemusicfestival.ca/

Basically, this is one of the best kept secrets in Canada, its the biggest little splat fest in the western hemisphere which usually attracts around 3,000 crunchers, many of whom, arrange their summer holidays around this event.

Its the perfect spot to launch the insanity of The Masquerade on the "known" world.

Masks have been purchased and will be handed out to those willing to partake in the event, with the exciting possibility of being caught on film and making it into our first promotional video that will involve a recording of the performance on two HD cameras, so, please, to protect the woefully guilty, masks should be worn at all times unless you want to end up in the "monster" gallery.

The Rolling Circus

Yesterday saw us come one step closer to achieving our objectives for the show with the purchase of an RCF sound system. Today i found the material that we are going to make the mirrors out of, initially, i thought the logistics of getting large warped mirrors made and transported would end up forcing me to abandon the idea, that is no longer a concern, as today i found that 2.0 Optical Mylar is 98% reflective, thats one percent less than real mirrors. So now its just a question of how we are going to make the frames and what we will mount the mylar to.

Well, i know i really shouldn't have to apologize for the delay considering im allowing these to be grabbed for free by those savvy enough to find them, but im a man of my word and i missed the initial leak date, the good news is its been delayed because matt the alien is such a perfectionist that he really took his time getting the scratches done (well thats the official line anyway) :D

So, expect to find the finished mix of Playing With Guns available for download first thing monday morning.

Finally, Defender has been re-mastered and re-uploaded, and expect to find the third track in the series available for download around the first week of june.
